Can I bring younger students?
At HOFT Institute, our students must be ages 15 and older. However, if you want to bring younger siblings, we can recommend other wonderful academic summer school for ages 5 – 14 for younger siblings to join.
$1,580 tuition + After-school activity fees
Student housing costs: Starting at $688
Meal costs: Approximately $30/day or $300/month

We offer two types of discounts:
(1) Early Registration
Register and pay 1/2 of the tuition by May 14, 2018 to receive a $100 discount per student
(2) Family Discounts
Receive a $100 discount for every additional participant you send to us!
*Discounts (1) and (2) cannot be combined.
In the morning, students will join the all-ages Intensive English classes from 9:00AM to 2:00PM, Monday to Thursday.
In the afternoon, we will drive the students to one of our partner programs. Our partner programs offer sports, arts, and other classes for teenagers. The goal is to help them make American friends and experience American life! Prices vary based on the sport or activity.

Do you accept all levels of English?
I want to apply for the summer school program. What should I do?

Who will pick up the students upon arrival at the airport?
If students arrive between 9 am and 5 pm, a HOFT Institute staff member can meet students at the airport upon arrival. This service will cost $30. Students will be greeted at the airport after passing through customs and immigration.
Can I or a guardian drop off and pick up the child at the airport?
Yes. If you are traveling with your child or you have a friend or relative in the area, this person may escort your student to campus. We will need the contact information and photo ID for each guardian.
How will I know that my teenagers have arrived safely?
We can personally pick up your teenager from the airport. We will send you an email after your teenager has arrived at the airport. Students will have access to the internet. They will contact you personally within 24 hours.
Can students arrive late or leave early?
Yes. However, after school activity choices may be limited if you arrive late.
What can you tell me about the accommodation?
Room assignments are provided on the first day of arrival. Students are housed in surrounding areas of the school that are within 5-10 minute walking distance. Click here to view photos!
How much spending money should students bring?
About $100 a week.
How will the weather be in Austin, Texas in summer?
Very hot! The average temperature is 37 degrees Celsius (99 degrees Fahrenheit).
What should students bring when they come?
- Clothes: Long & short sleeve shirts, a jacket, long pants, shorts, a swimsuit, comfortable shoes (athletic shoes and sandals), plastic sandals (for the shower)
- Toiletries: Most toiletries can be easily bought after arriving in Austin, including shampoo, deodorant, sun block, etc.
- Other personal items: Camera phone, plug adapter, photos of friends/family.
- Study materials: Notebooks, pens and pencils
- Airport Safe Items: Please avoid bringing certain foods and snacks to avoid any unwanted fees
