Subject Tutoring

HOFT Institute, formerly known as the House of Tutors, has been your partner in education since 1984.  We are dedicated to your success, providing quality tutoring, experienced tutors and flexible scheduling options. Students have the option of having their session onsite at HOFT Institute, online or offsite at a location convenient to them.

 Test Prep

HOFT Institute provides test preparation for PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, STAARS, LSAT, MCAT test prep. We can also provide tutoring for other exams by request such as the TSI exam and certification or state exams.

Our tutors are experienced professionals who have several years of experience teaching test prep subjects. We only pair students with tutors who fit their education needs. We want students to learn strategies needed to effectively master their exam and we ensure that those steps are being taken.

Practice Tests

Before a session is booked, students have the option of taking a practice exam. This practice exam will serve as a diagnostic to see what the students strengths are and where they need more improvement. Taking a practice exam is FREE. Our coordinators will administer the exam as if it were the real real deal. Once the student is done, one of our team members will score it.

Results Diagnostic

Once the test is scored, we will share the results with the student and their guardian. We will take a look at the students strengths and weaknesses. Once we have reviewed the scores, we will come up with a plan of action.

Test Prep Tutoring

HOFT staff members are trained to pair students with the correct tutors who will work with the students learning style. Our goal is to help them improve their score. Our tutors schedules are flexible, they can meet onsite at HOFT Institute, at your house, or a mutually convenient location.

Resources:

All of our tutoring students have access to HOFT’s resources. We provide test preparation books, flashcards, and materials to work on at home. We also have a computer lab and student library available.
