Summer Teen ESL Experience
We invite your teen to join English classes with us while they are on break from high school. They will improve English language skills and make new friends from all around the world! The minimum age for acceptance into our language program is 15 years old. Please note that adults and teenagers will be together in classes, though some classes will have more young people than others.

Five-Week Program
Cost: $2020 + $150 Application Fee
Session 1: May 11 - June 12, 2026
Session 2: June 15 - July 17, 2026
Session 3: July 20 - August 20, 2026
Ten-Week Program
Cost: $3820 + $150 Application Fee
Session 1: May 12 - July 17, 2026
Session 2: June 15 - August 22, 2026
Fifteen-Week Program
Cost: $4650 + $150 Application Fee
Session 1: May 11 - August 22, 2026

Appropriate Ages
Recommended Ages: 15 and older
Restrictions: Students who are 15 or 16 must have a parent or guardian with them in the United States.
Schedule
In the morning, students will join the all-ages Intensive English classes from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, where they can meet other students from all around the world! In the afternoon from 2 to 3 pm, we will have fun after school activities.

Do we need an F-1 student visa?
No. For these short-term summer programs, a visitor’s visa is okay.
If you want an F-1 visa for a long-term program, please email english@hoft.edu.
Do you accept all levels of English?
Yes. All levels of English are welcome.
How will I know that my teenagers have arrived safely?
Students will have access to the internet, and they should be able to contact you personally within 24 hours of their arrival.
Can students arrive late or leave early?
Yes. However, after school activity choices may be limited if you arrive late.
What can you tell me about the accommodation?
Students are housed in surrounding areas of the school that are within 15 minutes walking distance.
How will the weather be in Austin, Texas in summer?
Very hot! The average temperature is 37 degrees Celsius (99 degrees Fahrenheit).
What should students bring when they come?
Clothes: Long & short sleeve shirts, a jacket, long pants, shorts, a swimsuit, comfortable shoes (athletic shoes and sandals), plastic sandals (for the shower)
Toiletries: Most toiletries can be easily bought after arriving in Austin, including shampoo, deodorant, sunblock, etc.
Other personal items: Camera phone, plug adapter, photos of friends/family.
Study materials: Notebooks, pens, and pencils
Airport Safe Items: Please avoid bringing certain foods and snacks to avoid any unwanted fees
